- have fitness and nutrition plans worked out
March 31st, 2009:
- first Facebook app created and live
- start Muay Thai classes full time again
June 1st, 2009:
- do major goal review / update
August 1st, 2009:
- Weight down to 200 pounds
- Body fat % 22
It’s starting to warm up outside. Soon I won’t be out boarding all the time and I’ll be back to my normal workout routine. I’m going to get outside as much as I can once it warms up as well. I really want to try some trail riding on my mountain bike this summer and I’m gonna need a serious boost in leg strength for that so as soon as I can, I’m going to get out there!
February 3rd, 2009 Workout – Snowboarding
I had the most amazing night of boarding ever tonight! There’s been a bunch of things i’ve been working on and everything just seemed to click perfectly tonight and it was such an awesome feeling.
I finally figured out how to keep stable and land properly when going off rollers and kickers. There’s a hill at Glen you can hike up and then there’s a line with a kicker followed by two rollers. I kept going off that and hiking back at least a dozen times. By the end I was exhausted from the hike but I was able to ollie off the kicker and get a grab, then bs 180 off the first roller and ollie the second one. The flying feeling was so incredible… I’m definitely hooked on jumps now, wonder how long before I break something, hahaha ;)
I can do frontside and backside 180s going down the trail too now in regular and switch. I still need to work on doing them while going quicker and quicker, but I’ve got the movement down. Ollies got way better too and I started doing them all over the place.
Everything just clicked at once. The first time I tried everything tonight I landed it and that made all the other tries seem so much easier. I still took some of my biggest spills ever, but each time I got up with a giant smile on my face.
Can’t wait to get back out!
