Day 21/63 - May 14th, 2008 Workout - Muay Thai
Muay Thai class today was focused on the basics. Whenever we have a testing coming up our teachers really stress the basics to us to prepare for it which is good as everything else builds on top of that foundation.
It was an all-kicking class today - not a single punch thrown, which I think is a first. Started out with right and left Thai kicks, then lead and rear push kicks. After that we did a combination of push and Thai kicks.
After class I came home and did some more pull up work. Joey posted a pull up training video on his blog today with some ideas on how to train to do pull ups when you can’t do a single one unassisted yet. I ended up doing 4 sets of 5 - 2 sets where I jumped up and used momentum to help lift myself and 2 sets of negatives. I think I need to push myself harder here to get the results I want.
