Day 56/63 - June 17th, 2008 Workout - Konditioning

No outdoor run at Konditioning class today - it had been raining on and off in the afternoon, so we started off with the usual inside run instead. After the warm up, we went right into some ab work and then started a new drill I haven’t done before.

The drill started off with us doing a back and forth motion in our fighting stance - then Linda would call out a number of exercises - either push ups, clapping push ups, squats, or squats where you jump up from your knees. I think it went on for 10-15 minutes straight and we must have done over 100 push ups and squats all together. I could barely hold my arms up when we were done.

We then had a quick water break and did another new drill - started at one end of the gym, did a squat thrust then a broad jump and repeated until we got to the other side of the gym. Then we’d go to the pull up bars and do 5 chin ups. We repeated the whole thing 5 times - then on to more ab work and stretching to finish.

I got my headgear, mouth guard and cup, so I’m all ready for sparring tomorrow. Stepping in the ring for the first time and ready to get my ass kicked good ;)
