Ready to jump back into it

Time to jump back in.  I got way too complacent and got set back.  Now I know what to avoid. I’ve learned my lesson and it’s time to get going again.

Last night I did some grocery shopping.  I stocked the freezer with lean meats and frozen veggies. I boiled a bunch of eggs and I wrote out a meal plan for the week.  This morning I made my meals for the day according to plan.  It’s been months since I’ve been on a proper regiment of six meals a day but that is what worked for me before and what will work for me again.  I set reminders for myself in Outlook to take a break for a snack, otherwise I’d end up working right through.

It might sound funny, but I rearranged my bedroom last night to help push me into these changes.  I think that it’s just enough of an unsettling effect that it makes me aware of change and makes it easier for me to accept the changes I am making.  I need to be comfortable with being uncomfortable or I’ll never progress.

Tonight I’m heading over to Kombat Arts to reactivate my membership and tomorrow I’m starting up Muay Thai training again.  It’s been half a year since I’ve been in class and I’m going to feel it for days I’m sure.  The calluses on my feet are gone so it will be a fun couple of months of blistered feet as they redevelop.  Tonight I’m going to get all my gear together in a bag so I’ll be organized and ready to go at any time.  It’s going to hurt, but I can’t wait to get back!
